Brevet Takes Fluid Projects from CAD Design to Full-Scale Manufacturing

One team, one roof, and a lot fewer handoffs between your first sketch and your finished product.

The Problem With Too Many Partners

If you’ve ever built a fluid-handling product, you know the drill. One firm does the CAD work, another cuts the tooling, and a third molds the parts. Every handoff is a chance for something to get lost in translation, and every one adds weeks to the schedule.

That’s the problem we set out to fix at Brevet. We bring design, tooling, molding, assembly, and testing together under one roof, so your project moves forward as a single story instead of a relay race.

Phase 1: Design That Starts With the Fluid Path

Every good assembly starts on the screen. Our engineers design custom fluid paths around your actual needs, whether that’s a biopharma manifold, a diagnostic cartridge, or a dispensing block.

A few things we focus on early:

  • Smooth, cleanable flow. We shape internal passages to avoid dead legs and trapped fluid, and to be gentle on sensitive fluids. That also helps cleaning go smoothly.
  • Fewer parts, fewer leaks. Instead of tangled tubing and loose adapters, we can often combine valves, ports, and sensors into one compact manifold. It’s easier to assemble, easier to handle, and has fewer places to leak.
  • Manufacturability from day one. Our designers think about draft angles, wall thickness, gate placement, and parting lines while modeling, so the design moves into production tooling without a painful redesign.

Phase 2: Prototype Before You Commit

Before anyone cuts steel, we like to get something in your hands. 3D printed and CNC machined prototypes let you check fit, tubing connections, and barb retention quickly. Early samples can also go through basic flow and pressure checks, so surprises show up now and not after tooling is built.

Phase 3: Manufacturing Under One Roof

Once the design is locked, we scale from pilot builds to full production without changing partners.

Tooling and molding. We build precision injection molds and handle micro-molding and overmolding with a range of medical-grade and high-purity materials. Cleanroom molding keeps particulates low, which matters a lot in biopharma and diagnostics.

Assembly. Fluid assemblies often come together in more than one step, so our team handles assembly and sub-assembly work to match your design, whether that’s a simple connection or a more involved build.

Quality and traceability. Every run goes through testing and inspection, including leak checks and CMM dimensional verification against the original CAD model. We also track lots from raw resin to finished product.

Packaging and sterilization. We can pouch, kit, and label finished products, and coordinate third-party sterilization with the documentation you need.

Who We Build For

Our work shows up in a few high-purity areas:

  • Biopharma and life sciences: single-use fluid transfer lines and ports where documentation matters.
  • Medical devices and diagnostics: compact manifolds, nozzles, and cartridges with tight tolerances.
  • Sanitary processing: fittings and dosing assemblies built to handle tough cleaning routines.

How a Project Unfolds

Step

What Happens

1. Intake

We review your prints, 3D files, fluid details, and cleanliness needs.

2. CAD and DFM

We refine the flow path, consolidate parts, and prep the design for molding.

3. Prototyping

Functional samples are printed or machined for fit and basic testing.

4. Tooling and pilot

Production molds are built, and first articles are inspected.

5. Full production

Molding, assembly, testing, packaging, and sterilization coordination.

Let’s Talk About Your Project

Fewer vendors means less overhead, fewer errors, and a faster path to market. It also keeps your intellectual property in fewer hands. Whether you need one custom adapter or a full disposable fluid circuit, we’d love to help you get from first sketch to finished product.
